Having done “Become a Piano Superhero (BAPS) 1” I had high expectations. And they were indeed met. Doing BAPS 2 felt very much like a continuation of BAPS 1. The skills already acquired came to use, And extra layers were added. Some might find it annoying that Marina talks a lot during the exercises. I don’t feel that way. The talk explains what the respective exercise is supposed to teach. Another impotant point is, thatMarina can’t see the prospect superhero practice. And I am absolutely confident, that she knows what some of us might do, when left unattended. I admit it was tempting to skip some of the repetitions. But I am glad I listened to Marinas instructions (and adhered to them). Reminders of not to stretch 1st of 5th fingers and all that basic stuff were perhaps not necessary. But on the other hand it felt good to experience, that some of what I had learned earlier on stuck. So I definetly find, that doing BAPS 2 was time well spend. And I look forward to put everything I have learned to use. And when BAPS 3 is released, I know I want to do that too.

This is an outstanding course - and that is an understatement. Marina walks the student through exquisitely detailed, yet easy-to-understand explanations about how to improve one's piano playing with regard to finger independence, hand independence, and speed/agility. Complementing the instruction are exercises galore, each exercise personally developed by Marina with what clearly has been painstaking thought and planning. The exercises are broken down into micro elements and every aspect of the instruction, from fingering to hand sequencing to staying on beat, are meticulously and clearly explained and demonstrated. Each exercise, when practiced diligently, help the student grow incrementally throughout the program. The overall course sequencing, in which techniques and patterns build upon one another throughout the program, is nothing short of brilliant. Marina's classes are not only educational and inspiring, they are fun! Whether you are new to piano, returning after a break, or have been playing for years and want to enhance your technique, this course is for you. I cannot recommend it highly enough Brava!
